Why isn't my ad published online?

Here at carsales we take online privacy and security very seriously. All ads published on carsales are reviewed by our customer service team before going live. This is to ensure that sellers are legitimate and that the ad meets our requirements. 

We aim to approve all ads within 2 hours of payment during business hours. If it's been longer than 2 hours and your ad still hasn't been approved, it could be that:

- Custom Status - Read more here

- You have paid by BPAY (takes 1-2 business days to process the payment)

- Your ad was rejected (check your emails) Read more here

- Your ad was cancelled (check your emails)

- Your ad expired (check your emails) 

You can check the status of your ad by signing in your account and looking for the 'status' under 'Ad Management'. 

If your ad is still awaiting approval, it could be that our staff haven't had a chance to check your ad yet - please call customer service on 13 72 53 to get an update.

  • Mon to Fri - 9am to 9:30pm AEDT
  • Sat to Sun - 9am to 10pm AEDT
