One Time Password log-in (OTP)

Log in with One-Time Password (OTP)

To make logging in both simpler and more secure, we have replaced the usual log-in method of using email/password with OTP sign-in. Instead of entering a password, you’ll receive a short, 6-digit, one-time code (OTP) by email each time you sign in.

(Third-party sign-ins such as Google, Apple and Facebook will remain the same).

What is OTP log-in?

An OTP (one-time password) is a short numeric code sent to your email that you enter to log in. Each code can only be used once and expires after a short time, so it’s much harder for attackers to reuse or steal access. You will need to request and enter a code each time you log in.

Why we’re switching: Security benefits

  • Fewer stolen passwords: no password to reuse or leak from other sites.
  • One-time use: codes expire quickly and can’t be reused.
  • Less phishing impact: attackers would need access to your email, not just a password.
  • Simpler recovery: if you lose access to a password, the recovery process is eliminated, you just verify via email.

How it’s simpler

  • No passwords to remember or reset.
  • Faster log in - request a code and you’re in.
  • Works across devices without account reconfiguration.
  • Easier for users who forget passwords or rarely log in.

How to log in (step-by-step)

  1. Open the app or website
  2. Enter the email address linked to your account via the log in page
  3. Tap Next
  4. Open the email, copy and paste the 6-digit code
  5. Tap Confirm and you’re in!
