Chat is available 24/7 to provide immediate answers to questions you may have relating to buying, selling, research and owning cars and carsales
 

2. How does Chat work?

Chat is powered by third-party AI technology (not carsales AI), which leverages machine learning and natural language processing (NLP) to provide customer support. It sources articles from carsales’ help centre to address customer queries.

2. What are the limitations of Chat?

 As Chat is powered by third-party AI and generates answers for you solely based on carsales’ help centre articles, it may not provide complete, accurate or up-to-date responses, and it can make mistakes. For instance, if carsales’ help centre doesn't include an article about a specific topic, then Chat might not be able to provide an answer.

Alternatively, it could generate the answer solely from the available articles which may not reflect the most relevant, accurate or complete information. Chat may also produce responses that don't accurately reflect the product or service you're querying about. 

You should not rely solely on the answers provided, and the answers should not be treated as advice or as having been manually reviewed by our customer service team. Any responses are of a general nature only and don’t consider your particular circumstances or needs.
