Have you been asked to pay transport or freight cost for a car you're selling? We are aware of a scam where a buyer places an enquiry, posing as a genuine buyer, requests that the seller pay transport or freight costs.
Do NOT pay a buyer money that is supposedly for the freight, especially if they have not yet paid you for the vehicle itself. These are scammers and not genuine buyers. A genuine buyer, even if they are from interstate, would not ask a seller to pay for the freight costs before they have paid for the actual vehicle.
Please contact us on 13 72 53 or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to speak to us or report any suspicious behaviour.
