What does optioned mean on a car ad?

Car listings that are marked with 'Optioned' include at least 5 features that are either factory optional fitted features or aftermarket features. These features are normally added by the purchaser/owner at some point in time and may include:

  • Roof racks
  • Sunroof
  • Tow bar
  • Navigation system
  • Paint packages

As well as many more not listed above.

It may seem that cars marked with 'optioned' are more expensive than other similar cars without an 'optioned' marking, however it's worth noting that they are most likely best value since they contain features that similar cars that may be cheaper don't have!
